The monthly newspaper published by Sanrio, Ichigo Shinbun (Strawberry Newspaper) is celebrating its 45th anniversary with the limited-time themed cafe opening at EGG & SPUMA on 8th floor of Shinjuku Lumine Est from November to late January next year. Sumikko Gurashi (means “living in the corner”) is a group of characters produced by the Japanese company, San-X. Sumikko Gurashi’s own cafe is opening in Harajuku, Tokyo for a temporary time. -Miffy Cafe

Date: 28 November to 30 December 2020

Miffy Cafe opened temporarily in Tokyo this autumn (until 23 November), and it’s moving the location to Osaka. In addition to the menu in Tokyo, a few new dishes will be available in Osaka, featuring seasonal ingredients. When you make a reservation in advance, you will receive one of mini clear files chosen randomly from 6 designs as a gift. -MARVEL CAFE

Date: 30 October to 29 November 2020

The MARVEL themed cafe is opening in Harajuku/Omotesando area in Tokyo only for a month from 30 October to 29 November 2020. The cafe offers a menu with limited-edition food and drinks inspired by characters and scenes from popular MARVEL movies such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow and Mighty Thor. Inuyasha is a popular manga/anime series across the world written by Rumiko Takahashi, one of the most famous and beloved Japanese manga writers. Disney and Pixar themed cafe, PIXAR FEST will be opening at 3 cities across Japan (Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya) this summer. The final movie of NEON GENESIS EVANGELION was scheduled to be released on 27 June 2020 originally, however, it’s been postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic (and the new date to be announced).
