NAKED SAKURA AQUARIUM at Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa
Maxell Aqua Park Spring Cherry Blossom event created by NAKED
Home to 350 kinds of sea creatures Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa is one of the most popular aquarium in Tokyo, located near Shinagawa Station. The spring event NAKED SAKURA AQUARIUM will be held at Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa from March 2nd (Sat) to April 19th (Friday), 2024.
Maxell Aquapark Shinagawa have collaborated with the creative company NAKED on a variety of seasonal events in the past, such as their famous christmas event for Winter. In the annual spring event NAKED SAKURA AQUARIUM, visitors can enjoy a “Hanami in the marine world” with digital artwork of dancing cherry blossoms along with the aquarium’s creatures.
Upon entering the museum, visitors are greeted by gorgeous digital artwork inspired by a Japanese garden in spring. In the Patterns area, an immersive space, they can see fish swimming gracefully in the aquarium with images of cherry blossoms and cherry trees drawn with delicate touches. Visitors will feel as if they are participating in the spring party of the sea creatures living there.
Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa’s popular Dolphin Performance will also be held in a spring version. During the day, visitors can experience “Sakura Musou” where cherry blossom scenes come alive through lighting, snow machines, and water effects. At night, immerse yourself in “Sakura Gatari”, with dynamic dolphin shows in the beautifully illuminated spring-colored sea. Two unique performances, each offering a different perspective on the beauty of cherry blossoms.
The cozy café bar, with its glowing coral tanks, is getting ready for spring too. At Hanatou, where the red paper lanterns add a special touch, guests can try the special menu items. The menu features tasty drinks with a hint of cherry blossom flavor and sundaes topped with yummy bracken starch dumplings.

From Barcelona to Tokyo. Coffee & Adventure lover🌏☕️
I started to like Japan because of the anime, music and doramas, but after my first trip to the country I found what I love the most: traveling around, the culture and history. I have travelled a lot in Japan, but I still have many places to discover that I want to share with you🙋🏼♀️ Let’s discover Japan together!
Also, as a foreigner living in Japan for over 6 years I understand what kind of things are difficult when you move here and I want to help other people in the same situation that I have in the past.
