Guide to Tokyo Joypolis in Odaiba
Tokyo Joypolis, located in the fun commercial and entertainment district of Odaiba, is Japan’s largest indoor theme park. It boasts over 20 exciting attractions, ranging from thrilling rides to immersive and interactive virtual reality games, creating a unique experience that makes the best out of the digital and real-world fun for visitors of all ages.

What is Tokyo Joypolis?
Tokyo Joypolis (東京ジョイポリス) is an indoor amusement park operated by the videogame giant Sega, located in the Decks Tokyo Beach shopping mall in Odaiba. Known for its innovative attractions that combine digital and physical elements, it offers a wide range of activities, including roller coasters, interactive games, and virtual reality experiences.
Joypolis is designed to provide entertainment regardless of the weather, making it an ideal destination for a day of fun in Tokyo.

What to Do at Tokyo Joypolis
Depending on your plans, you can opt for several options:
- Buy a simple Admission Ticket (1,200 yen for adults) and then pay for each ride, if you just want to check for a little bit or you’re only interested in a few attractions.
- Take full advantage for a day of all the rides you can with a Passport Ticket (5,000 yen for adults)
- Enjoy just some evening fun with a Night Passport Ticket (4,000 yen for adults) available from 15:00 or a Choi-Nori-Night 2Rides ticket (2,400 yen) which grants you admission starting at 17:00 and allows two rides.
The timing of your visit is also important! If you go on the exact day of your birthday, you get a Passport Ticket for free! Obviously, you must carry a passport or an ID that verifies your birthdate. Also, during the month of your birthday you get a 500 yen discount on the Passport Ticket.
All in all, you have 3 floors filled with endless fun. For your reference, here’s a selection of the most popular attractions!
- Gekion Live Coaster: A hybrid roller coaster and rhythm game.
- Halfpipe Tokyo: An exciting skateboard simulation ride.
- Zero Latency VR: Free-roaming virtual reality experience with multiple game scenarios. Please note that this attraction is not included in the Passport Ticket and must be paid separately in all cases.
- Joypolis Explorer: Solve puzzles and hunt for hidden treasures in a themed adventure.
- Sonic Athletics: Compete in athletic events with Sonic the Hedgehog characters.
- Transformers Human Alliance Special: A shooting game ride featuring Transformers.
- Storm G: A futuristic hovercraft ride.
- Fortune Forest: A mystic experience where you can learn about your fortune.

How to Get to Tokyo Joypolis
The nearest stations are Odaiba-Kaihinkoen Station on the Yurikamome Line and Tokyo Teleport Station on the Rinkai Line, both of which are about a 5-10 minute walk from the park. For those driving, it’s conveniently located near several highway exits, with parking available at Decks Tokyo Beach.

As a large entertainment area, there are lots of fun things to do in the surroundings!
1. Local Landmarks: Unicorn Gundam and Statue of Liberty replica
If you go to Odaiba, you cannot miss the two most iconic statues in the area! The first is a life-sized Unicorn Gundam, which is impressive to see even if you’re not familiar with the Gundam franchise. And then there’s also a smaller replica of NY’s Statue of Liberty, which is quite fotogenic with the backdrop of Tokyo Bay and the Rainbow Bridge. Bonus points if you wait for the evening as the night view is very pretty!

3. Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai
Opened since February 2024, Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai (豊洲 千客万来) is the latest entertainment complex in Tokyo, with a vibrant mix of shops, restaurants, and event spaces, catering to diverse tastes and interests.
