Tokyo is such a massive city that there are always things to do or events happening everywhere. From art exhibitions, theatrical performances, and musical concerts to cultural festivals and seasonal food-related events, this is good because you can actively look for something to do. Whatever that is that you’re looking for, there’s a good chance you’ll find it.
However, because there are so many events happening simultaneously, many can pass by without you noticing, even if they’re events you’d be very interested in. This is especially true during the weekends when there are more events than usual.
That’s where this article will hopefully come in handy. I have created a list of events for this week in Tokyo. If you live in Tokyo and have some free time, or if you happen to be visiting Tokyo during this week, then I hope at least one of these events will interest you to check it out.

Events during Spring in Japan
Spring is regarded in Japan as the season of “Goodbyes and new encounters.” March is when students graduate, and April is when the new scholar year begins. April is also when newly graduated students start working their first jobs.
What most people think about Japan in spring is undoubtedly “cherry blossoms.” Visitors from all around the world come to Japan to experience the Hanami season firsthand.
Other flowers are also popular such as plum blossoms and wisterias.
When it comes to Japanese traditional events, there is Hinamatsuri (ひな祭り) and Shunbun no Hi (春分の日) in March. There is also Golden Week, which takes place between late April and early May. Golden week is a combination of holidays such as Showa no Hi (昭和の日), Constitution Day (憲法記念日), Greenery Day (みどりの日), and Children’s Day (こどもの日).

2. Taiwan Festival in Tokyo Skytree Town 2024
