HIROHIKO ARAKI JOJO EXHIBITION: RIPPLES OF ADVENTURE (荒木飛呂彦原画展 JOJO 冒険の波紋) will be held in Nagasaki and Kanazawa following Tokyo and Osaka. Nagasaki Prefecture Art Museum welcomes the JOJO exhibition from 25th January to 29th March, 2020, and then, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa from 25th April to 23rd May, 2020.

JOJO’s 30th anniversary exhibition is coming to Tokyo and Osaka in 2018! The exhibition HIROHIKO ARAKI JOJO EXHIBITION: RIPPLES OF ADVENTURE (荒木飛呂彦原画展 JOJO 冒険の波紋) will be held to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the publication of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Let’s get the chance to see original drawings by Hirohiko Araki and brand-new works drawn for the exhibition.

Firstly, HIROHIKO ARAKI JOJO EXHIBITION: RIPPLES OF ADVENTURE will be held at The National Art Center, Tokyo(国立新美術館) in Tokyo, and then in Osaka.

About JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (ジョジョの奇妙な冒険) is one of the most voluminous mangas in Shonen Jump with 120 volumes currently. Numerous big fans all over the world were attracted during the publications between 1987 and 2004. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure tells the story of the Joestar family and their rivals in the setting of the late 19th to 21st century. The latest story, the 8th season, is going on as Jojolion in Ultra Jump.

Highlights at HIROHIKO ARAKI JOJO EXHIBITION: RIPPLES OF ADVENTURE

The exhibition consists of 8 chapters which let you enjoy all of the JOJO’s essences made for 30 years. Each chapter has attractive themes such as “JOJO Chronicle” to get back the whole story, “The Joestars vs The rivals”, “Stands”, “JOJO’s Design” and so on. At the chapter 8 “JoJoliron”, you can learn about how those innovative ideas for the story and the JOJO Poses are generated.

There are an original short movie and 12 brand-new large-size drawings made for the exhibition. You should not also miss the chance to buy special items related to the JOJO works at the end of the exhibition.
