According to foreign visitors’ reviews and my experience, here are 5 shops you should go and will definitely fall in love in Japan 🙂
UNIQLO
The famous fast fashion brand from Japan, UNIQLO (ユニクロ) has been hugely popular world wide and has stores in many countries abroad. However, the best place to shop UNIQLO is Japan. You will find many products only available in Japan and usually price are much cheaper than abroad. UNIQLO in Japan offer sale every weekends so if you want to catch a deal, shop on Saturday&Sunday is ideal!

MUJI
MUJI (無印良品) offers “minimalist” style products with great quality at affordable rate. Like UNIQLO, MUJI is very popular brand worldwide and also has some stores in abroad, yet Japan is the best country to shop their products. Numbers of products are sold only in Japan.

LOFT (ロフト) is a franchised variety store with several braches in Japan. LOFT offer a wide range of products including stationary, household goods, clothes, beauty products and unique items. Their products are usually very edgy and stylish, and have great quality. Some of stores in Tokyo offer tax-free shopping for foreign customers including one in Shibuya.

Often called “Donki” (ドン・キホーテ/ドンキ), it’s a discount franchised store which has over 160 shops in Japan. There is nothing that you can’t find in Don Quijote, as they literally deal with everything, food, home tools, beauty products, electric products, medicines, clothes, shoes, toys, souvenirs etc at discounted price. But the shop is best known for selling unique products such as cosplay costumes, adult goods and many crazy items.
