On the 14th October, 2021, Elon Musk, the head of SpaceX and Tesla, Inc., revealed his anime recommendations on Twitter. He posted a list of 7 recommended anime titles replying to a machine learning engineer Pranay Pathole.

1. Death Note

Death Note, which has numerous big fans around the globe, is the first anime recommended by Elon Musk. Its predecessor manga series was serialized on the most popular Japanese manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump between 2003 and 2006. And then, it was made into the 37-episode anime adaptation from 2006 to 2007. A high schooler protagonist Light Yagami picks up a Black Death Note one day, which gives him a terrible supernatural power to kill anyone by writing their names on it.
