YORUNOYO, the winter illumination that lights up the city of Yokohama is held annually in Minato Mitai. Don’t miss one of Yokohama’s most spectacular event!
YORUNOYO -YOKOHAMA CROSS NIGHT ILLUMINATION- (ヨルノヨ-ヨコハマ クロス ナイト イルミネーション-) is a special art illumination that can be enjoyed while touring around the port city of Yokohama. In Winter 2022 Yorunoyo will be held from November 24, 2022 (Thursday) to January 3, 2023 (Tuesday) at Yokohama Shinko Central Square and surrounding area in Minato Mirai. With theme for 2022 event “GROW – Evolving -” the dynamic illumination that makes full use of projection and other techniques collaborating with the urban city scenery will color Yokohama at night in a spectacular way.
Of particular interest is the five-minute program “NIGHT VIEWING,” in which a total of 34 facilities, such as Yokohama’s waterfront, historical buildings, and modern buildings, are linked together. Especially from Osanbashi, which is the main view point, visitors can enjoy a powerful light and sound production.
In addition, other popular spots will also have illuminations and projection mapping, such as the Shinko Central Plaza, where the light installation spreads over the entire square, the Osanbashi Futo Building, which projects a projection that changes images in response to the movement of people, and Yamashita Park, where a light production linked to NIGHT VIEWING.
