Yokohama’s largest illumination, “Yokohama Milight” is held every winter and is one of the most photo-worthy winter illumination event in Kanto area!

Yokohama Milight (ヨコハマミライト ~みらいを照らす、光のまち~) is one of Yokohama’s largest annual winter events that takes place at several locations in Yokohama Minato Mirai area. In 2023, the sixth year of the festival, it will be held in the Yokohama-Minato Mirai area, centering on a 1.5-km stretch from the East Exit of Yokohama Station to Grand Mall Park. The entire city will be enveloped in the fantastic light of approximately 350,000 blue LED lights.

The illumination event “Yokohama Milight 2023 – Illuminating Mirai City of Light” will be held in the Minato Mirai area of Yokohama from November 9, 2023 (Thursday) to February 11, 2024 (Sunday).

In addition at Grand Mall Park’s “Art Plaza” the illumination will be turned on in advance from October 6 to November 5  in conjunction with MM Grass Park 2023, an event commemorating the 40th anniversary of the start of construction in the Minato Mirai 21 district. For a limited time, street pianos will be installed and visitors can enjoy a collaboration of light and music.
