As every winter Universal Studios Japan is hosting a special event in 2022 to celebrate Christmas! For the 2022 Christmas event the Christmas tree, a beloved symbol of USJ in winter, will return for the first time in three years. The “NO LIMIT ! Crystal Tree” will be decorated with energetic and pop colors illuminating the park and various events will be held to celebrate the Holy Night. Moreover, visitor will be able to enjoy the limited time Christmas themed food menu and merchandise!
This winter USJ wants to make their guests smile again with the special programs for Christmas and the park’s adorable characters.

What’s especially attractive is the 10-minute light entertainment “Spectacle of lights”, which is based on the night view of Gramercy Park. The entire townscape around the “No limit! Cristal tree” will change due to the projection mapping as well as the shining tree and the countless lights. You will enjoy the sparkling world of light with the up-tempo Christmas music that matches the lighting.
In addition the new area Super Nintendo World will be ornamented with winter decorations for the first time since its opening. After passing through the entrance where a tree with a shining Superstar welcomes you, you will find the world of Mario looking in a way that can only be enjoyed at this time of year, including a wreath-decorated Peach Castle and more!
And as every year since some years ago, the starts of the event would be the funny and crazy Minions greeting the customers in Christmas costumes at the Minion Park. But they won’t be the only ones in Christmas costumes. The Christmas show “Hello Kitty’s Christmas Happiness with Happiness Brass Band” features Hello Kitty and Happiness Brass Band in winter costumes.
