Mister Donut (ミスタードーナツ), popularly known as Misdo, the most popular franchised donuts store in Japan. They have a wide variety of delicious and economic donuts, perfect for a breakfast or snack. In addition to their permanent menu, they launch several collaborations and special collections throughout the year, such as the famous collaboration with Pokemon or the cherry blossom collection in Spring, one of the public’s favorites.

In the past years one of the most-awaited and top selling collections from Mister Donuts is the Valentine’s Day collection. In Japan Valentine’s Day is all about chocolate, since in this day more than a romantic date for couples is the day when Japanese women give chocolate to mean (one month later, on the White Day, men give presents back). From some years ago Mister Donut has started collaborating with famous confectioners to create a special collection for this occasion.

For Valentine’s Day 2023 Mister Donut launched “misdo meets Toshi Yoroizuka Yoroizuka-style gateau chocolate doughnut” jointly developed with the famous pastry chef Toshihiko Arumozuka. The first collection have  a total of four types of gateau chocolat doughnuts available, with a crispy outside and a moist, melt-in-your-mouth interior, made with a newly developed doughnut dough inspired by the popular gateau au chocolat.

The Mister Donut time-limited misdo meets Toshi Yoroizuka Yoroizuka-style gateau chocolate doughnut was released at Mister Donut stores across Japan since January 11, 2023 (Wednesday) to early February. Go to your nearest Misdo and enjoy the Valentine’s Day special collection that can only be enjoyed in time of the year!

Triolet chocolate & Noix Coco

Triolet chocolate

Triolet means triplet in French, since the Triolet Chocolat is a doughnut with three different textures: crispy, soft, and moist. The gateau au chocolat doughnut is filled with smooth ganache chocolat cream and chocolat whip and topped with candied almonds, chocolate curls and cocoa powder.

Noix Coco

Noix de Coco is a gateau au chocolat doughnut with a white chocolate coating. The roasted coconut longs on top of it and the salted caramel cream squeezed in at the finish making a delicious combination.

Pistache & Mont Blanc


A deeply sweet gateau chocolate doughnut dusted with cocoa powder and squeezed with chocolate and pistachio whip. The center of the doughnut is topped with roasted pistachios.

Mont Blanc

Inspired in the classic sweet, the Mont Blanc is a gateau au chocolate doughnut with a squeeze of chocolate and marron whip, finished with candied almonds giving a significant accent  to the texture.

Mister Donut will launch the second “misdo meets Toshi Yoroizuka” collection at all the stores nationwide from January 25, 2023 (Wednesday) to late February.

While the first collection was inspired by gateau au chocolate, the second product developed in collaboration with Toshi Yoroizuka’s pastry chef Toshihiko Arumozuka “Yoroizuka-style Danish chocolate doughnut” is a crispy, light Danish dough with a newly developed “Danish chocolate dough” with cocoa kneaded into it. A total of two flavors will be available, allowing customers to enjoy the deep taste of chocolatey doughnuts with a particular texture.

Bannane & Marron Caramel Salé


Bananne is a Danish chocolate dough doughnut with banana filling made from Ecuadorian bananas and chocolate whip. The golden topping, cocoa powder and chocolate line are used to give it a banana look. The crispy texture of the dough is overflowing with the melted banana filling and chocolate whip, creating a flavoursome taste.

Marron Caramel Salé

Marron Caramel Salé is a Danish chocolate doughnut sandwiched between smooth whipped Italian marron and salted caramel cream, topped with candied almonds, roasted pistachios, and sugar for a delightful texture.
