The slice-of-life comedy anime series has been distributed exclusive on Netflix since March, 2022. It is adapted from the same-titled manga series serialized by Mami Tsumura since 2015. Kotaro Lives Alone focuses on a four-year-old smart kid living alone and interactions with his neighbors living in the same apartment.

A popular romantic-comedy anime series Komi Can’t Communicate (古見さんは、コミュ症です。) started in 2021, and the next season is coming in April, 2022. Komi Can’t Communicate presents a daily life of a good-looking high school girl Shoko Komi, who is bad at communicating with others including her classmates. The Orbital Children (地球外少年少女) is a new sci-fi anime movie divided into two parts. The first part showed at the theater on February 11, 2022 in Japan; the whole episodes were released globally only on Netflix at the same time. It is the second original animation directed by Mitsuo Iso, following his debut work Coil a Circle of Children made in 2007. The Orbital Children is set in space in 2045, when the technology of the Internet and AI is highly developed. What happens to the children trapped in a commercial space station after the accident?

It is based on Hiroyuki Takei’s original manga series serialized between 1998 and 2004 while the 2001 previous anime version partly consists of different stories from it.
