Winter/Christmas is one of the most fascinating seasons in Japan, with beautiful Christmas illuminations in different parts of the country and special time-limited events such as Christmas markets.

One of the most magical and loved Christmas events is Tokyo Disney Christmas. In winter 2024, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will host a special Christmas-only event from November 15 to December 25, 2024.

In 2022  Disney Christmas came back at the Tokyo Disney Resort after 3 years, and in 2023 Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are celebrating their 40th anniversary, holding the Tokyo Disney Resort 40th Anniversary “Dream Go Round” anniversary event until March 31, 2024 (Sunday). So for this year’s Disney Christmas they have prepared something even more special, an event full of exciting content only for the anniversary year.

Tokyo Disney Christmas 2024 will feature special Christmas-themed parades with some of the park’s best loved and adorable characters, impressive christmas trees, time-limited attractions, exclusive merchandise and food menu and more that will make guests have an unforgettable and happy memory!

Tokyo Disneyland

Fantastic Parade Disney Christmas Stories

Tokyo Disneyland presents special version of the Christmas parade, Disney Christmas Stories Fond Farewell, a reimagined version of the Disney Christmas Stories parade, which has been held since 2015. This beloved Christmas parade, featuring Disney and Pixar characters celebrating the season, will have its final run in 2024.

The dazzling nighttime parade, filled with sound and light, will also have a Christmas version this year. The music will be arranged with Christmas songs, and Mickey Mouse and friends will appear in sparkling Christmas costumes, adding to the festive magic.

Christmas tree in the centre of the World Bazaar

The  center of World Bazaar is home to a spectacular Christmas tree. The glittering 15-metre-high Christmas tree is decorated with ornaments, garlands, and wreaths featuring the special Christmas Fairy Lil’ Ring-Ring-Ring ornaments will liven up the Christmas mood. At night, the tree will be beautifully illuminated, shining with a brilliant glow.

Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare

Additionally, don’t miss the special programs inspired by the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas with the Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare and the special version of Country Bear Jamboree titled Country Bear Jamboree Jingle Bell Jamboree, where quirky bears perform a humorous Country & Western Christmas show. Both are highlights of the holiday season at the park.

Tokyo DisneySea

Disney Christmas Greetings’ at Mediterranean Harbour

Tokyo Disney Sea will be performing  Disney Christmas Greeting at Mediterranean Harbour. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and others will appear with Santa Claus while christmas music plays in the background.

In the American Waterfront’s New York area, Dazzling Christmas in New York offers a magical experience with holiday-themed merchandise, entertainment, and decorations, all adding to the park’s festive spirit.

15-metres Christmas tree

A large Christmas tree, approximately 15 metres high, will appear in the American Waterfront, and will be illuminated at night, creating a romantic atmosphere.

In addition, a tree decorated with Duffy & Friends ornaments on Cape Cod will be a unique Christmas photo spot!

The different restaurants in both parks will also be offering a special Christmas menu, and some of these menus will come with special Christmas merchandising that can be purchased for an extra fee.
