Universal Studios Japan Halloween 2024

Opened in Osaka in 2001, Universal Studios Japan (USJ) is one of the most popular amusement parks in the world, having a wide range of attractions featuring popular movies and characters. The park also hosts seasonal events throughout the year, and their Halloween event is particularly popular. The park offers a fun, exiting and scary Halloween experiences for both children and adults.

In 2024 autumn, Universal Studios Japan’s annual Halloween event will be back. In the daytime, the park will hosts a family-friendly Halloween party “Hahaha! Halloween Party” featuring popular characters such as Pokemon, Minions, My Melody and Kuromi. After sunset, Halloween Horror Night will take place, featuring notable collaborations with “Chainsaw Man” and “Resident Evil” as well as various exciting programs unique to USJ such as Street Zombie and Zombie de Dance.

This year event will kick off on 5th September with HAHAHA! Halloween Party, the daytime Halloween event for everyone from children to adults can participate and have fun. Following last year’s huge success, the “Pokemon Jumpin’ Halloween Party” will be back this year, which allows guests to jump and dance along the loud music by DJ Pikachu and DJ Gengar. New ghost Pokemon characters Litwick and Pumpkaboo will be joining a greeting event “Pokemon Charge Up! Halloween Greeting” this year.

Popular Sanrio characters, My Melody and Kuromi will be dressed in sweet Halloween-limited costumes for “My Melody & Kuromi’s Happy Halloween Greeting”. Many other characters at Universal Studios Japan including Minions and Sesame Street will also welcome guests in special costumes only available this time of year.

The nighttime Halloween event “Halloween Horror Night” will start on 6th September, featuring thrilling and terrifying horror attractions, including the infamous Street Zombie with numerous vicious zombies appearing in the park after dark. The park-wide dance party “Zombie de Dance” will be back this year, offering the ultimate sense of unity as zombies and guests dance together to the song “Show” by Ado. In addition, the dark and spooky “Hamikuma Shout It Out Party” will be making its debut this year.

The park will also be making its first collaboration with the TV anime Chainsaw Man. The 4D attraction called Chainsaw Man The Chaos 4-D features an extreme, unpredictable, and exciting original story, in which Denji and his friends encounter the Halloween Horror Night Demon led by the park’s zombie army. Experience the world of Chainsaw Man as the fierce battle unfolds before your eyes.

-Pokemon Jumpin’ Halloween Party

The Halloween party is hosted by DJ Pikachu and DJ Gengar with the loud and flashy sound and image. Guests can immerse into the world of Pokemon and lose themselves and dance along to the music!

-Pokemon Charge Up! Halloween Greeting

The greeting event where you can meet, interact and take photos with beloved Pokemon characters.

-Universal Wonderland Fun Fun Music

Guests can meet and dance with characters from Universal Studios Japan such as Sesame Street, Snoopy and Hello Kitty, dressed in special Halloween costumes.

-Minion Monsters Greeting

-Trick or Treat

Find crew members and say the magic words “trick or treat” to get candies! This year, trick or treat if available for adults, too with nighttime-only candies (in Universal Wonderland).

-Street Zombie

The Street Zombie is the most popular Halloween event at the park, with a large number of zombies roaming around the streets after dark. This year, the event features the Blue Rose Corps a security force led by the singer Ado as a captain and facing off against zombies with guests.

-Zombie de Dance

The wacky and enthusiastic dance party with zombies, featuring a song in a collaboration with the popular Japanese singer Ado.

-Hamikuma Shout It Out Party

The 360-degree live horror Resident Evil themed attraction is where you will join forces with heroes from the series’ history to defeat the most vicious creatures.

-Chucky’s Carnival of Chaos
