Tokyo Disney Resort is a popular place to visit for both Japanese and international visitors all year round; some people living in Japan will even go several time in a single year. There are many reasons for this, but most notably is because of the seasonal events that occur during the year.
Whatever day you decide to go visit Tokyo Disneyland or DisneySea, it is most probable that there will be an ongoing event on that day. Whether that is new years event, summer event, or Christmas event, you will be garanteed to have a unique and exciting experience that you won’t be able to have on another season.
In this article, I will introduce to you the schedule of both Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea for 2023. If you are interested in visiting Tokyo Disney Resort during any of these seasonal events, be sure to check the dates of these events to not miss out on them!

Before going to the yearly schedule, let’s quickly review what Tokyo Disney Resort actually is. Tokyo Disney Resort is one of the six Disney resorts in the world, consisting of two parks being Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. These two parks, even when seen separately, rank between the top most visited theme parks in the world.
There are many reasons for its great popularity such as having the most recognizable characters, exciting attractions, and unique and tasty foods. There are even hotels within the resort where you can stay whithout breaking the magical atmosphere of Disney. It is also very accesible, being located in Urayasu city, Chiba prefecture, which is close from central Tokyo.
And as I previously mentioned in the beginning, seasonal events are another thing that make Tokyo Disney Resort such a popular place to visit no matter what season it is. The cool thing is that even though the same events happen simmultaneously at both parks, The content of the events will be different, making it even more enticing to go visit both parks.

New Year at Tokyo Disneyland
Date: January 1 to 16, 2023
During the first two weeks of the year, there will be a daily “New Year’s Greetings” parade with all your favorite Disney characters dressed in traditional Japanese style. You will also see many new years related goods at the shops during this period.
Minnie Besties Bash!
Date: January 18 to March 31, 2023
A spring event dedicated completely to Minnie! There will be a daily “Minnie we love you” parade as well as original Minnie goods at the shops and Minnie themed decorations across the park. You will even see Minnie in a original dress especially prepared for this ocasion.
Anniversary Event “Tokyo Disney Resort 40th ‘Dream-Go-Round'”
Date: April 15, 2023, to March 31, 2024
In celebration for the 40th anniversary of Tokyo Disney Resort, there will be a special event for an entire year! A completely original parade will take place as well as original goods at the shops and special menus at the restaurants will be available during this special year.
Summer Program
Date: July 4 to September 6, 2023
Just as in previous years, during these two months, Splash mountain will be even “Splashear” then usual! The “Get Wet Max” event will allow you to enjoy one of the more iconic Disney rides in a manner that you won’t be able to experience during other seasons!
Special Event: Disney Halloween
Date: September 15 to October 31, 2023
One of the biggest Halloween celebrations in Japan takes place here at Disneyland! This halloween event features many special attractions and it’s a great chance to visit the park in your favorite Disney character’s costume.
Special Event: Disney Christmas
Date: November 8 to December 25, 2023
Right after the Halloween event has finished, you will be able to enjoy the final event of the year which is the Disney Christmas event. What better way to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere than with your favorite Disney characters and your special people at this magical land?

New Year at Tokyo DisneySea
Date: January 1 to 16, 2023

A month and a half of Halloween celebration takes place in great fashion at DisneySea. During this period, you can enjoy ofiginal shows, goods, and food menus that match the ocasion. You can also come in a Disney costume to double the enjoyment.
Special Event: Disney Christmas
Date: November 8 to December 25, 2023
Arguably one of the most popular events of the year at DisneySea is the Disney Christmas event! Enjoy the seasonal lights, shows, and other orignal attractions that you can only experience during this special season.
