It’s that time of year again! Cherry blossom season in Japan is just around the corner and that means the most awaited announcement of the year: the special Starbucks Japan Sakura collection!
The concept of this year’s SAKURA series is SAKURA HAZUMU. Starbucks Japan SAKURA, which is in full bloom earlier than the cherry blossoms, will offer to its customers a cherry blossom experience through special cherry blossom beverages and food. In addition Starbucks will upgrade its AR system, to create a new unique experience different from last year’s. This Spring 2023 let’s enjoy the bright and vivid cherry blossom experience with a sense of dynamism at Starbucks Japan stores all across the country!
As in the past years, Starbucks Japan 2023 Sakura collection’s first beverages will be released on 15 February 2023 and will be available until 14 March. Due to its high popularity, the products tend to get sold out quickly in some stores. So if you are considering to try the cherry blossom flavored drinks and food, make sure to note the release date and go to your nearest Starbucks store. A second edition of cherry blossom special beverages will be announced in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on this article!

In addition, 3 items from the collection made by Hagiyaki, a traditional Japanese craft handed down in Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture will also be available in a cherry blossom version. The collection includes a pale pink mug reminiscent of cherry blossoms, a soft ivory bi-color mug and a gradation-colored canister that holds approximately 150 grams of Starbucks coffee beans.

Starbucks Japan releases spring-limited cherry blossom flavour drinks every year and is one of the looking-forward events every year for both Japanese and foreigners. In Spring 2023 Starbucks is introducing two news Sakura flavour beverage (cold frappuccino and hot latte) available only in Japan from Wednesday, February 15, 2023 through Tuesday, March 14, 2023.!
Inspired by cherry blossoms in full bloom Sakura Blooming Saku Saku Frappuccino (cold) is a Sakura Strawberry flavored Frappuccino made with cherry blossom jelly at the bottom of the cup mixed with cherry blossom petals and with cherry blossom flavored pearl sugar. The top is decorated with cute strawberry flavor macaroons crumbs and whipped cream creating an overall representation of cherry blossoms in full bloom.
Sakura Soy Latte is a non-caffeine beverage that combines sakura strawberry sauce and steamed soy milk, topped with cherry blossom strawberry shave and pink silver sugar.
Both drinks are served in a cherry blossom themed special cup!

The second beverage from the SAKURA Collection 2022, Sakura Blooming Saku Saku Matcha Frappuccino, will be available at Starbucks stores nationwide from Wednesday, March 1, 2023! The Sakura Blooming Saku Saku Matcha Frappuccino is the popular Starbucks Frappuccino Matcha Cream Frappuccino topped with a Sakura Blooming Saku Topping that has a light, crunchy texture and a cute appearance inspired by the image of cherry blossoms in full bloom, adding a festive touch.
