Let’s Be Together in Times of Coronavirus: Japan Web Magazine X Giappone per Tutti

Coronavirus Questionnaire About Covid-Era

Japan Web Magazine X Giappone per Tutti

The current situation with the Coronavirus is forcing people to stay at home for a prolonged period of time all around the world. We think it is an opportunity to be closer to each other, since we are all humans having the same fears and worries so we would like to share everyone’s experiences and concerns. As content creators and people capable of reaching many people, we think it would be interesting to see bloggers and influencers from around the world come together and discuss the current situation.

We have prepared a questionnaire to know the situation and the opinion of other blogs and influencers. We would be very happy if you could answer that questionnaire. You can share it on your blogs and websites too and reach more people to get the opinion of as many people as possible.

Today we want to share with you the opinion of our partner Giappone per Tutti. Giappone per Tutti is one of the reference blogs about Japan in Italian. The blog was born out of its founder’s desire to share information to help others organize their trip to Japan on their own. It has very complete information, from how to get around Japan, main tourist attractions, customs, food and much more.

3. What is your country’s current situation?

The situation in Italy is quite difficult, but it is improving day by day. On April 21st we counted more than 180,000 contaminated people and almost 25,000 deaths. Back then, Italy was one of the most affected countries by this pandemic.

4. How’s your surrounding environment right now?

The surrounding environment is quite surreal. I feel like living in a movie. The streets are empty, since people is allowed to go out to shop for groceries or to go to reach their working place. Most restaurants and shops are closed. Few public transports are circulating and the public officers go around the town to monitor the situation and to tell people to stay at home during the emercency. An unbelievable scenario, if compared to a few weeks ago.

5. How’s this situation affected your work? (media management, etc.)

This situation has caused a consistent reduction in visits to my website – an estimation of -75% compared to the same period in 2019. The profits have decreased of 99%.

6. How do you see your work change from now on?

My work will not change that much, since it is a website on travel information. Nevertheless, I tried to improve my interaction on social networks, for example I started doing Facebook live videos.

7. What kind of content do you want to provide during this situation?

Since the beginning of the health emergency, I created a page on my website dedicated with all the useful information on travels to Japan and Italy. This page can be easily reached through a header banner showing in the whole website. The page lists useful links to Italian and Japanese institutions, and it is constantly updated on the situation in Japan.

8. Is there anything you can do in this situation being in your position as an influencer?

I can keep the website users and Facebook followers updated on the actual situation, thanks to the official news.

9. How are you communicating with friends and family during this situation?

During confinement, I mostly used message apps, such as Whatsapp and Facebook Messenger.

10. How are you spending your time at home?

During this time, I took the opportunity to update my website with more contents, in order to be ready once we will be allowed to travel again. I also took care of my house and watched many movies and TV series. I also refreshed my knowledge of English.

11. What is the first thing you want to do after this situation calms down?

As first thing, I will visit my father and brother. They live 5 minutes away from my house, but we haven’t met since one month and a half.

12. A message to the world

I am confident this situation will be over very soon. We will be able to hug our families again, meet our friends, practice our hobbies and travel again to discover the world. However, we should not forget what is happening around us, and try to learn from this experience. This way we can contribute to improve the World through virtuous actions.
