Tokushima

Tokushima is one of the four prefectures of Shikoku Region. It is the start point of the Shikoku Pilgrimage, a.k.a. Henro. Tokushima is also the birthplace of Awa Odori which is the most famous Japanese traditional dance. Awa Odori Festival, one of the biggest summer festivals in Japan, is held in the middle of August in Tokushima. In the Naruto area of Tokushima, you can see natural whirlpools. Lastly, there is one of Japan's three greatest secret spots called Iya Valley the mountainous valley in the remote area of Tokushima, which is definitely the must-visit hidden gem.
