5. Hirakata Park in Osaka
It is an annual event in the Rose Garden in Hirakata Park. The Rose Festival in Hirakata is being held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Rose Garden in the park. The park is filled with various types of roses and activities related to the roses.

6. Nagai Botanical Garden
Nagai Botanical Garden is a botanical garden located inside Nagai Park in Osaka. The gardens boasts an area of 24.2 hectares and it’s one of the best places in the city for flower viewing featuring the four seasons of the botanical garden and 11 specialty gardens to enjoy a variety of seasonal flowers such as Japanese allspice, Himarayazakura, and Nihonzuisen in Winter, Plum, Cherry Blossoms, Rose, Kinkacha, Nemophila, Hydrangea and more in Spring, Sunflower for Summer and Dahlia, and Japanese Maple for Autumn. 10. Higashizawa Rose Park
An expansive 72-hectare park boasting over 750 species of roses and approximately 20,000 blooming plants, surrounded by forests with three scenic lakes. The Ministry of Environment has accredited this park as one of the “Kaori Fukei 100 Selection” for its distinct fragrance and impressive views, and it has been chosen as a “Lover’s Sanctuary”—a romantic location recommended for marriage proposals.
Best viewed in early June and late September, when annual rose festivals are held, with white mizubasho (skunk cabbages) blooming from mid to late April. 11. Kyu-Furukawa Gardens
Designated as a National Place of Scenic Beauty, the Kyu-Furukawa Gardens are a rare example of a garden preserving the style of the early Taisho era (1912-1926), featuring approximately 200 rosebushes of 100 different varieties, including Maria Callas and Royal Princess roses. The gardens combine Western and Japanese styles, set on a hill with a Western mansion at the top designed by Josiah Conder (known as “the father of Japanese modern architecture”), a rose garden in the middle, and a Japanese garden at the bottom designed by Ogawa Jihei VII.
