Shimane

Shimane is located to the west of Western Japan, also in Chugoku Region. Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine is the most symbolic destination of Shimane which is also popular among foreigner visitors. Adachi Museum of Art is always praised as the best Japanese garden by foreign media. Matsue Castle in the capital city of Shimane that was built in Edo period and designated as a national treasure of Japan.
