Satte Gongendo Park Cherry Blossoms with Mustard Yellow near Tokyo

Beautiful cherry blossoms contrasted with bright yellow of mustard!!

Gongendo-tsutsumi (権現堂堤) is one of the most popular cherry blossom spot near Tokyo. It’s located at Gongendo Park in Saitama Prefecture. Originally, 3,000 sakura trees were planted there but cut down during WWII. However, 1,000 were newly planted in 1949, and they keep standing along 1 km until now.

Beside the cherry blossoms, you can see vast yellow field of mustard. Enjoy the breathtaking views of cherry blossoms pink contrasted with mustard yellow near Tokyo!!

The cherry blossoms and the bridge over the near river are lit up during Satte Sakura Festival which will be held from March 25 to April 9. Over 100 stalls offer food and drinks in the festival, so we recommend to visit there within the cherry blossom festival term.
