Mejiro Garden : the Hidden Japanese Garden in Tokyo
Mejiro Garden : Tokyo’s Hidden Gem for Autumn Leaves Illumination
Mejiro Garden is recommended to visit through the year as it displays the beautiful scenery in each season, but the best time to visit the garden is perhaps during autumn leaves season from mid November to early December. The scenery of colourful autumn leaves in the traditional Japanese garden is simply breathtaking.
Mejiro Garden is normally open till 17:00 (19:00 in July and August), but during the peak season of autumn leaves viewing, the garden is open at night for the special autumn leaves light-up event. The autumn leaves and the garden will be decorated with fascinating lights. When it’s not windy, you can appreciate the reflection of the lit-up leaves on the pond just like a mirror.
The special night event “Autumn Garden Light-Up” is held for 9 days in late November. The admission fee for the special light-up event is 300 yen. During the period, there will be other special contents including concert and workshop.
If you are seeking for the best place to enjoy the autumn leaves in Tokyo, Mejiro Garden could be one great option for you. Also it’s one of the rarest place to enjoy lit-up autumn leaves, so if you wish to admire autumn leaves at day and night, don’t miss this special light-up event at Mejiro Garden!
