In the past years the Japanese fast fashion retailer UNIQLO have been doing different collaboration with famous anime and video games because they realized this is a way to attract more audience since people love to buy clothes from their favourites series and movies. UNIQLO‘s graphic T-shirt line, UT has been collaborating with popular franchises such as Nintendo, MARVEL, Star Wars, PIXAR and famous animes like Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, One Piece, Detective Conan, etc. In November 2022, UNIQLO is teaming up with the worldwide beloved SPY×FAMILY!
Based on the popular manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo, SPY×FAMILY is no doubt the new trendy anime today. After the manga was first published on the Shonen Jump+ in 2019 recently have been adapted into anime and quickly becoming a big hit. Compared to the latest anime trends such as Demon Slayer or Tokyo Revengers, this series is much simpler. SPY×FAMILY is a light comedy that narrates the adventures of three strangers that become a family for personal interests, but they all hide a secret. Loid Forger (alias Twilight) is a skilled spy that needs.to have a fake family for his next mission, so he adopt Anya but he doesn’t know that she is a psychic. Later he meet Yor and marry her, without knowing neither that she is a professional assassin. Only Anya knows the other’s secret and they pretend to be normal family.
The plot is simple, but the characters are very charismatic and the series has many funny moments, so it has become one of the most watched and loved animes in Japan. And as usual in Japan, it didn’t take long for collaborations to appear, such as a themed cafe or a tamagotchi inspired by Anya.

The fashion and exclusive UNIQLO & SPY×FAMILY T-Shirt Collection 2022 will be released in UNIQLO online and in-stores in Japan from 11 November 2022, and available while stocks last. I’d predict that products will be quickly sold out since the same happened with the first collaboration collection a few months ago, so make sure to pop by at your nearest UNIQLO store before it’s too late!!
