One Piece, now reaching the climax in the manga and anime series, is one of the best anime series of all time in Japanese history. Which are you enjoying One Piece in manga or anime? For every fan of the live-legendary adventure series, it is also recommended to check theatrical anime movies of One Piece.
The original manga series, written by Eiichiro Oda, has been serialized on Weekly Shonen Jump since 1997, and its anime adaptation began in 1999. The first anime film of One Piece was released in 2000, and there are 15 titles so far. Eiichiro Oda himself has been in charge of the production of the recent One Piece films, which are spin-off but related to the main story.

15. One Piece Film: Red (2022)
As the 15th One Piece movie, many fans are anticipating the upcoming title One Piece Film: Red coming in August, 2022. The high expectations among them are partly because Eiichiro Oda, the author of the manga series, joins the production of the movie as well as One Piece Film: Z in 2012 and One Piece Film: Gold in 2016. One Piece Film: Red features the coolest side character “Red-Haired” Shanks and his daughter named Uta, who makes her debut in this film.
14. One Piece: Stampede (2019)
In the summer of 2019, an all-star movie titled One Piece: Stampede was released as the 14th One Piece movie celebrating the 20th anniversary of the anime series. It was partly made by Eiichiro Oda as a creative supervisor. One Piece: Stampede introduces the largest treasure hunting event Pirate Fest featuring various current pirate characters and Marines. Douglas Bullet, a former crew of the Roger Pirates, shows up in the film.

13. One Piece Film: Gold (2016)
One Piece Film: Gold is the 13th One Piece movie released in 2016, which Eiichiro Oda joined as an executive producer. The spin-off story follows the member of the Straw Hat Pirates, who visit a government-authorized independent entertainment state Gran Tesoro.

12. One Piece Film: Z (2012)
One Piece Film: Z is known as one of the most popular One Piece films ever, released in 2012. This 12th title was partly made by Eiichiro Oda as an executive producer. One Piece Film: Z tells the first spin-off story after Luffy and his crews enter the New World (exactly just after the Fish-Man Island arc), featuring the antagonist Z, a former Marine Admiral.

11. One Piece 3D: Straw Hat Chase (2011)
One Piece 3D: Straw Hat Chase (ONE PIECE 3D 麦わらチェイス) is the 11th One Piece movie and the first 3D CGI animated short movie released with the other part of the double feature titled Toriko 3D: Gourmet Adventure. One Piece 3D: Straw Hat Chase presents a new adventure to chase the missing straw hat of Luffy.

10. One Piece Film: Strong World (2009)
Lots of fans look on One Piece Film: Strong World as one of the best One Piece movies of all time, awarded for Excellent Animation of the Year at the 34th Japan Academy Prize. The whole story of the 10th One Piece film was written by Eiichiro Oda himself. The Straw Hat Pirates face the confusion caused in the East Blue by the legendary pirate Shiki the Golden Lion.

9. Episode of Chopper Plus: Bloom in the Winter, Miracle Sakura (2008)
The 9th One Piece film titled Episode of Chopper Plus: Bloom in the Winter, Miracle Sakura (ONE PIECE THE MOVIE エピソードオブチョッパー+ 冬に咲く、奇跡の桜) premiered in 2008. It was nominated for Excellent Animation of the Year at the 32nd Japan Academy Prize. Episode of Chopper Plus: Bloom in the Winter, Miracle Sakura presents a heartwarming story centering on the lovely crew Chopper.

8. The Desert Princess and the Pirates: Adventures in Alabasta (2007)
The Desert Princess and the Pirates: Adventures in Alabasta (ONE PIECE エピソードオブアラバスタ 砂漠の王女と海賊たち) is the first One Piece movie adapted from the original manga, based on the popular story arc Arabasta. The Desert Princess and the Pirates: Adventures in Alabasta focuses on the powerful battles between the Straw Hat Pirates and Baroque Works including Sir Crocodile and Mr. 2 Bon Clay.

7. Giant Mecha Soldier of Karakuri Castle (2006)
Giant Mecha Soldier of Karakuri Castle (ONE PIECE THE MOVIE カラクリ城のメカ巨兵) is the 7th One Piece movie showing at the theater in 2006. The spin-off film follows the Straw Hat Pirates heading to Mecha Island, there is a rumor of buried treasure.

6. Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island (2005)
2005’s anime movie Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island (ONE PIECE THE MOVIE オマツリ男爵と秘密の島) is known as the first full-length film directed by the famous anime director Mamoru Hosoda. The story begins when the Straw Hat Pirates are invited to a resort island called the Omatsuri Island.

5. The Cursed Holy Sword (2004)
The Cursed Holy Sword (ONE PIECE 呪われた聖剣), the 5th One Piece movie, came to the big screen with another film of the double feature Take Aim! The Pirate Baseball King in 2004. The Cursed Holy Sword focuses on Zoro and the legendary Seven-Star Sword hidden in Asuka Island.

4. Dead End Adventure (2003)
In 2003, the first full-length One Piece movie titled Dead End Adventure (ONE PIECE THE MOVIE デッドエンドの冒険) was released. It tells the story of the Straw Hat Pirates joining a pirates race called Dead End, featuring the debut of Nico Robin in the One Piece movies.

3. Chopper’s Kingdom on the Island of Strange Animals (2002)
Chopper’s Kingdom on the Island of Strange Animals (ONE PIECE 珍獣島のチョッパー王国) is the 3rd mid-length One Piece film released in 2002 as a double feature with Digimon Tamers: Runaway Locomon as well as a short story Dream Soccer King. It presents a spin-off story between the Drum Island arc and the Arabasta arc, which is the film debut of Chopper.
2. Clockwork Island Adventure (2001)
Clockwork Island Adventure (ONE PIECE ねじまき島の冒険) premiered with Digimon Adventure 02: Revenge of Diaboromon and a short story Jango’s Dance Carnival in 2001. It happens in the early stage of One Piece centering on Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji.

The movie series of One Piece started with this first mid-length film titled One Piece in 2000, released as a double feature with the popular film Digimon Adventure: Our War Game!. The story takes place between the Syrup Village arc and the Baratie arc, focusing on the earliest four crews Luffy, Zoro, Nami and Usopp.
