Jujutsu Kaisen Cafe 2023 Shibuya Incident to Open in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya

Jujutsu Kaisen (呪術廻戦), written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, is a popular Japanese manga series serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2018. Over 80 million copies of this dark fantasy manga series has been sold so far, making it one of the best selling manga series of all time.

The anime series of Jujutsu Kaisen, produced by MAPPA, was first aired on TV from October 2020 to March 2021, followed by the animated film Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie in December 2021. As the popularity of Jujutsu Kaisen became huge worldwide, and in result, the anime film achieved to be the sixth highest-earning anime film of all time after Demon Slayer- The Movie: Mugen Train, three Ghibli films and Your Name.

The second season of the Jujutsu Kaisen TV anime series was premiered on 6 July 2023 with two continuous cours, featuring the manga’s “Hidden Inventory / Premature Death” and “Shibuya Incident” story arcs. To celebrate the release of the new anime series, the Jujutsu Kaisen Cafe opened in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya for a limited time in 2023 summer with the theme of Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu (Hidden Inventory/Premature Death) arc. Since the cafe has fascinated many Jujutsu Kaisen fans across the country, a new Jujutsu Kaisen themed cafe, focusing on the Shibuya Incident arc, will open in 2023–2024 autumn/winter.

The Jujutsu Kaisen Cafe 2023 Shibuya Incident will open in 4 venues, 3 cities in Japan (Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya) with a new menu and original merchandise. The cafe will focus on the Shibuya Incident arc, which is set in Shibuya on the night of Halloween.

With a cool and stylish ambience, the cafe offers an original menu with food, drink and desserts inspired by characters and notable scenes from the anime series. In addition, there will be a range of merchandise and some special gifts for visitors, featuring an original illustration. Visitors can enjoy the world of Jujutsu Kaisen Shibuya Incident with the image of curtain casting over.
