Detective Conan Cafe in Japan 2024

Case Closed a.k.a. Detective Conan, written by Gosho Aoyama, is one of the most popular Japanese manga series of all time. Over the past 30 years, the series has sold over 250 million copies worldwide since it began serialization in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1994. The detective manga series has been adopted to TV anime series since 1996 and over 20 anime films have been produced.

In 2024 spring, the 27th anime film of Detective Conan “Detective Conan: The Million Dollar Pentagram” will be released. To celebrate the release of the new movie, the nationwide Detective Conan Cafe will open for a limited time at 10 sites in 7 cities across Japan; Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya, Miyagi, Hokkaido and Fukuoka. Detective Conan Cafe has opened for a limited time several times in the past, commemorating the release of new movies, but each time the theme and menu are different, giving you a new experience each time you go.

The theme of Detective Conan Cafe 2024 is “Garden Party” with the main visual featuring a newly drawn illustration of characters wearing pastel colored costumes and holding dried flowers or bouquets in their hands, with the image of a garden party on a terrace or in a garden.

The cafe menu features the image of a greenery garden or a garden in bloom, offering a wide variety of dishes, desserts and drinks which are inspired by characters and represent the world of Detective Conan. The menu includes gorgeous plate dishes that are decorated with edible flowers, Conan-shaped freshly baked waffles, and a curry inspired by Hakodate City, the setting of the film.
