Especially, many cafes and restaurants offer limited-edition Halloween theme food, desserts and drinks using seasonal ingredients, and they are only available this time of the year. In this article, I’m sharing best Halloween treats in Japan in 2019!

-Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
Halloween limited doughnuts, “MONSTER HARVEST in Monster DINER” is available at Krispy Kreme stores in Japan until 31 October 2019. The cute and photo-worthy Halloween theme doughnuts are made with various autumn flavours including pumpkin, chestnuts and apple. Doughnuts are available per piece (190 yen + TAX~) or in a Halloween edition box (6pc or 12pc).
Baskin Robbins (more commonly called “thirty-one” in Japan) released new ice cream flavours for Halloween. “Orange Slime Time” is served with edible slime giving a very unique texture to an orange flavoured ice cream. “Magical Mint Night (mint and bitter chocolate)” and “Mid Night Apple (baked apple with cinnamon)” are also limited flavours to pump up your Halloween moods!
Starbucks Japan’s Halloween limited beverages in 2019 are “Halloween Red Night Frappuccino (590 yen + TAX)” and “Halloween Masquerade Raspberry Mocha (Short 450 yen/Tall 490 yen/Grande 530 yen/Venti 570 yen + TAX)” , served with sweet and sour red berry sauce which are available at Starbucks stores in Japan from 11 to 31 October 2019. The Starbucks Chilled Cup series also released a new Halloween beverage “Sweet Caramel Pudding Latte (200 yen + TAX)” with a cute and spooky limited package and it’s sold at most of convenience stores in Japan.
The popular Japanese doughnuts shop, Mister Donut has turn their favourite doughnuts into colourful and spooky Halloween theme. The line-up includes Pon de Ring coated with purple potato glaze and Old-Fashion with white chocolate coating. Let’s celebrate Halloween with the adorable and delicious doughnuts monsters this autumn!
Pokemon Cafe in Tokyo is offering limited time Halloween dishes: “Pikachu’s Greedy Halloween Plate (1,706 yen/ 2,894 yen with a plate + TAX)”, “Discovering Celebi!? Ilex Forest Genovese Pasta (1,706 yen + TAX)” , “Zoura’s Halloween Roast Beef Burger (1,706 yen + TAX)”. Dishes are served with Pokemon character motif inspired by Halloween available only this time of the year!
The popular Sanrio character, Pompompurin is celebrating Halloween with special menu at Pompompurin Cafes in Harajuku, Yokohama and Umeda (Osaka). Super cute and colourful Halloween dishes includes “Dracula Pasta” and “Purple Potato Tart Plate ” which are served with Halloween motif as well as seasonal ingredients. The limited designed luncheon mat is given to each guest while stocks last!
The Hawaiian all-day breakfast cafe, Eggs ‘n Things has dressed up their two best-selling dishes with cute and spooky Halloween theme. Halloween edition “Pumpkin Monster Pancake (1,480 yen + TAX)” and “Halloween Benedict (1,380 yen + TAX)” are served at Eggs ‘n Things stores across Japan for 2 weeks from mid to late October 2019.
The Capitol Hotel Tokyu has released the Halloween Sweets Selection with 10 kinds of limited-edition desserts available at the pastry boutique “ORIGAMI” on B2 floor.
