Enjoy Tokyo's cool arts at Roppongi Art Triangle
Roppongi is the center of business, nightlife and high-class residential district in Japan. Additionally the area is regarded as one of the best spots to see cutting-edge arts. There are 3 major art museums which are located within walking distance from each other in Roppongi. These three art museums form “Roppongi Art Triangle”, and the abbreviated name is ATRO.

1. MORI ART MUSEUM
The Mori Art Museum has embraced the concepts of “contemporary” and “international” since its establishment in 2003, so mainly contemporary exhibits are presented in the vast gallery space. A variety of arts related to culture, history, philosophy and science from Asia, Europe and Africa are exhibited.

2. The National Art Center, Tokyo
The National Art Center, Tokyo has the largest exhibition space as an art gallery (14,000 square meters), and has not maintained permanent collections since it was established in 2007. So various art exhibition are held in each year, and each of them continues about 3 or 4 months. The shows has consisted of Dalí, Renoir, Venetian school, Americal pop culture and so on.

3. SUNTORY MUSEUM of ART
The Suntory Museum of Art cherishes art in our daily lives, so it focuses on finding beauty of art in tools and furniture we use, garden rocks, plants and our behaviors let alone in paintings and sculptures. It was originally founded in Marunouchi, Tokyo in 1961, but was relocated in Roppongi in 2007. That’s why many traditional crafts are exhibited but they have not only Japanese essence but also ones of eastern and western art.
