As many of you already know, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a super-popular Japanese manga/anime series with 150 million copies of manga sales and the film “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train” becoming the highest-grossing film in Japan, after making 40 billion yen at domestic box office (50 billion yen at worldwide box office) in 2020.

Tons of collaborations and related contents with Demon Slayers have been made over the past years, including special events and themed products such as cosmetics collection, themed cafe, UNIQLO and GU clothing line and Tamagotch, and notably the attractions at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka.

Early this year, Universal Studios Japan announced the return of the Demon Slayer attraction for 2024! The park’s special collaboration with the legendary Japanese anime includes two attraction rides: Demon Slayer XR Ride and Hollywood Dream — The Ride as well as limited-time park food and merchandise.

On top of that, a Demon Slayer themed restaurant Swordsmith Village Hyottoko Dining Hall will open at SAIDO for a limited time, setting in the latest Swordsmith Village arc of the anime series that was aired last year.

The restaurant offers a special menu that includes dishes created in tribute to the bravery of the “Pillars” including Muichiro and Mitsuri as well as children’s meals inspired by Tanjiro, Nezuko and Genya.

The restaurant is designed with attention to detail, with stained-glass style windows and other retro furnishings from the Taisho period, Hyottoko masks hanging on the walls, and a secluded atmosphere befitting a hidden village. You can meet Yoriichi Zeroshiki, a super-realistic combat doll used by Tanjiro in his training, and listen to the lively conversations of Tanjiro and his friends as they enjoy a meal. Experience a brief respite between battles with demons as a Demon Slayer Corps member, at the restaurant in the Swordsmith Village!
