ONE PIECE is one of the most famous and popular anime and manga series worldwide, captivating audiences in Japan and internationally. Written by Eiichiro Oda, the manga first appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997 and has sold over 500 million copies, earning the Guinness World Record for the best-selling manga in history. The anime started in 1999, followed by its first film in 2000. With 15 movies released so far, the franchise is still a strong favorite
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the ONE PIECE anime, and over the years, One Piece has been featured in thousands of limited-time collaborations, from exclusive collections to themed restaurants. But today, I want to introduce you to a unique and special place that no One Piece fan should miss: a themed gym!
That’s right—ONE PIECE FITNESS BragMen is a fitness gym inspired by the world of One Piece. The name comes from the Brag Men book (The Forgotten Men in English), which describes adventure tales from the Grand Line. This book first appears in Volume 13, Chapter 115 of the manga, when the Straw Hats are headed to Little Garden. Nami has a copy of the book written by the explorer Louis Arnote.
ONE PIECE FITNESS BragMen is not another temporary pop-up; it’s here to stay! No matter when you visit Japan, make sure to add this must-see destination to your list. You won’t want to miss out on this incredible experience!
ONE PIECE FITNESS BragMen
Are you a fan of One Piece and have you dreamed more than once of becoming a pirate? Welcome to ONE PIECE FITNESS BragMen! As soon as you step into the gym, your dream will come true, as you’ll instantly become a pirate during the time you’re there.
The gym space is decorated like a real pirate ship. When you enter, you’ll see the ship’s helm and a gigantic Log Pose. You’ll also find barrels, crates, chains, and even walls adorned with pages from the manga. However, the most striking feature is undoubtedly the column supported by Luffy’s hand in Gear 4 form.
One detail that I personally loved is that motivational quotes from the manga are scattered throughout the gym, some even in unexpected places, like on the ceiling above the barbell bench press machine.
And a funny plus, Franky has left his tiny red shorts on the ship. See if you can spot them!
But the One Piece theme goes beyond just decoration! Some of the gym machines and equipment are also themed! For example, there’s an eye-catching pull-down machine that symbolizes Whitebeard’s iconic mustache and the weight shaped like Buggy when he doesn’t have his full body.
Another highlight is the weighted garments that bears the mark of Shanks’ Red Haired Pirates, and one of my favorite elements: weight plates designed to look like Berry coins! Having original-designed weight plates is something that almost no gym has.
They also have a plyometric box inspired by the Poneglyph, the mysterious steles with ancient inscriptions. But the standout piece is definitely the Meat Barbell, a barbell shaped like Luffy’s favorite dish: meat.
Save the best for last: Slightly hidden on a wall is a true treasure for all real One Piece fans—a drawing of Luffy made by none other than Oda-sensei!
And on the ship’s mast, you can also find the signatures of some of the voice actors from the anime.
One-on-One Training
This is the gym’s dedicated area for individual training. Here, skilled navy trainers help clients strengthen their bodies with personalized workouts focused on each person’s goals.
The space is designed to look like where the Straw Hat Crew train. You’ll find fun details, like paw prints from Chopper and a dartboard where Usopp practices his aim. When there aren’t any personal training sessions happening, other clients can use this area, too.
Pirate Functional Training
In the Functional Park, they offer Pirate Functional Training, which is focused on improving your functional movements like walking, running, standing, and lifting. They even have a Yonko Training program so that you can become as powerful as Shanks, Whitebeard, Kaido, or Big Mom!
Deck Program
At the Deck (Studio), you can experience group training sessions. Inspired by a ship’s deck and designed to immerse you in the world of ONE PIECE, customers can enjoy a unique atmosphere where fitness and adventure come together in the Deck Program.
Rest Area
They have a small rest area with a shelf filled with One Piece manga. So between workouts, you can relive your favorite moments from the story! It’s also a perfect spot for families with children, as they can stay entertained while their parents work out.
Gym entrance
At the entrance, we find a sofa and large letters of the gym’s name, creating a popular photo spot. On the other wall, there are several posters featuring important characters. If you move, the illustration on the poster changes, too.
And one of the funniest parts: gym members have to put their faces on a “Wanted” poster to check in and out!
Changing Rooms
The lockers in the changing rooms are named after some of the most iconic characters from the series. Choose your favorite to store your clothes!
Original Merchandise
In addition to enjoying a memorable time in a unique space in the world, the gym also offers original merchandise for true One Piece lovers and gym enthusiasts! For example, T-shirts with original designs featuring some of the most iconic characters from the series.
Or a novelty you can only find here: protein powders with original flavors inspired by different One Piece arcs! Cocoa Island Chocolate Flavor, Wano Country Oshiruko Flavor, and Jaya Island Cherry Pie Flavor.
The Gum-Gum Pistol Barrage Release Gun is an essential tool for those who train hard at the gym. Inspired by Luffy’s powerful attack and featuring four levels of vibration, this machine effectively massages your muscles, releasing muscle fascia and helping to rejuvenate your tired body.
Cafe
Feeling tired after an intense workout? Take a well-deserved break at the gym cafe!
Along with the chance to sample the original protein flavors mentioned earlier (perfect for deciding which one to purchase), the cafe offers a selection of meals and beverages crafted to support a healthy diet.
For food, you’ll find Salted Koji Chicken Thigh with Meatloaf in Mapo Sauce and Spicy Chicken and Tofu Dumplings with Scallion Miso Sauce, two dishes with plenty of vegetables, carbohydrates, and proteins—three essentials for anyone serious about achieving their fitness goals.
In addition, they offer limited-time drinks. For example, during our visit, they had a special beverage to celebrate the birthday of the Pirate Empress Boa Hancock!
The Hancock’s Mero mero Smoothie is a drink inspired by one of Hancock’s techniques, Arrow of Captivation. It features a blend of strawberries and mandarins mixed with low-fat milk, sweetened with honey. Rich in vitamin C, folic acid, and calcium, it prevents anemia and promotes beautiful skin. Delicious and incredibly low in calories!
Please note that the eat-in service is only available for gym users. However, if you want to try their menu but are not training in the gym, the menu is available for takeout to everyone.
Visitor Plan
ONE PIECE FITNESS BragMen welcomes temporary visitors, providing One Piece fans traveling in Japan with a chance to experience it at least once. There are five types of visitor rates available:
The original measurement paper is produced by the InBody machine. For those unfamiliar with this device, it offers a comprehensive analysis of your body, including muscle and fat percentages. While you typically receive results on standard white paper, only at ONE PIECE FITNESS BragMen can you obtain an exclusive edition paper. Check the following photo for reference.
The original protein comes in a packet containing 15 grams of banana-flavored protein inspired by the Bananawani (Banana Gator). Just to jog your memory, these giant crocodiles, adorned with banana-shaped growths on their heads, make their appearance in the Alabasta arc, particularly in Crocodile’s Casino.
Regular Plan
If you live in Tokyo and are looking for a gym to visit regularly, they also offer various membership plans! You can check their website for more details (available in Japanese only).

Overall
In conclusion, ONE PIECE FITNESS BragMen is a one-of-a-kind place. Not only is the decor spectacular and meticulously detailed, but it also offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Even if you’re someone who doesn’t usually go to the gym and finds places like this a bit intimidating, you don’t have to worry here. It’s a space where you can work out in a safe environment while enjoying your favorite series.
And for those who frequent the gym as myself, I can’t help but mention the quality of the machines and equipment.

From Barcelona to Tokyo. Coffee & Adventure lover🌏☕️
I started to like Japan because of the anime, music and doramas, but after my first trip to the country I found what I love the most: traveling around, the culture and history. I have travelled a lot in Japan, but I still have many places to discover that I want to share with you🙋🏼♀️ Let’s discover Japan together!
Also, as a foreigner living in Japan for over 6 years I understand what kind of things are difficult when you move here and I want to help other people in the same situation that I have in the past.
