What is JR Keiyo Line?
The Keiyo line (京葉線) is a railway line operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East) which runs between Tokyo and Chiba. There are 17 train stations along the JR Keiyo line from Tokyo station, ending at Soga station. Do you know, the good thing about living near this line is that it connects to one of the important stations in the Tokyo area and this is the Tokyo station. From here, you can transfer on 14 different railway lines including Shinkansen and rapid services.
There are also four types of services under the Keiyo line which are the ‘Local Keiyo line’ that stops at all train stations between Tokyo station and Soga station except Nishi-Funabashi station. Then there is the “Musashino line (local)” that stops at all stations between Tokyo and Nishi-Funabashi before ongoing to the Musashino line. The “Keiyo Line Rapid” and the “Commuter Rapid Service”.
