Renting an apartment in Shinjuku city is relatively expensive. Although not as expensive as Shibuya, rent in Shinjuku rank in the higher spots when it comes to price. Shinjuku has many reasons for being popular among foreigners as an area for living.

First, the convenience of transportation. Shinjuku Station is not only the largest train station in Japan (also being the busiest train station in the world), but it also has a large bus terminal where you can find buses that will take you pretty much anywhere within and out of Tokyo.
