Tokyo Disney Resort 2020 Special Events and Best Time to Visit
Tokyo Disney Resort is an amusement/entertainment resort consists of two popular theme park: Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, which attract over 30 million visitors annually and have invited over 750 million visitors so far. The resort also consists of hotels and shopping complexes, and simply makes guests feel like being in a dream land away from the real world. Tokyo Disney Resort is located in Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture just outside of Tokyo.
Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea offers a wide variety of fun attractions with popular Disney movies and character themes including rides, shows, parades, shops and restaurants. Besides the regular attractions, the parks also holds various seasonal events and festivals through the year such as Halloween and Christmas, which are one of the main attractions at the parks for many visitors. During the term, the parks feature special decorations, shows and parades as well as limited-edition merchandise collection and food menu at shops and restaurants which can not be purchased in other period of time nor any other places.

Special Program: Tokyo Disney Resort New Year
Date: 1–5 January 2020
Disney characters are celebrating the New Year in traditional Japanese style. The New Year’s decorations and greeting parade will be available for 5 days.
Special Program: Very Very Minnie!
Date: 10 January to 19 March 2020
The special event featuring Minnie Mouse, “Very Very Minnie” will be held for 2 months at Tokyo Disneyland featuring cute and pop show, decoration, merchandise and food menu.

Date: 11 September to 1 November 2020
One of the biggest Halloween celebrations in Japan, Disney Halloween features many special events and it’s great chance to visit the park with your favourite Disney character costumes.
New Area: New Fantasyland
Date: 28 September 2020
In 2020 spring, the Fantasyland area will be expanded and re-born as the New Fantasyland in Tokyo Disneyland with brand new attractions including the “Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast” and “Fantasyland Forest Theatre”.
New Attraction: Minnie’s Style Studio
Date: 28 September 2020
The brand-new attraction featuring Minnie Mouse, Minnie’s Style Studio will open in Toontown area. Visitors can meet adorable Minnie Mouse and take photos at her studio.
New Attraction: Baymax Happy Ride
Date: 28 September 2020
The world’s first Baymax attraction will open at Tomorrowland area along with a popcorn specialty shop “Big Pop” with the theme of space.
Special Program: Happy Fair with Baymax
Date: 28 September 2020~
“Happy Fair with Baymax” will be held at Tomorrowland with special decorations and photo spots with the theme of “Baymax”. Limited-edition merchandise and food menu will be also available.

The most festive season of the year at Tokyo Disneyland. The Disney Christmas offers the jolly Christmas atmosphere with special parades, decoration and merchandise.

Disney characters are celebrating the New Year in traditional Japanese style for 5 days. The special New Year’s greeting parade will be held three times a day at the Mediterranean Harbor in Tokyo DisneySea.
Special Event: Pixar Playtime
Date: 10 January to 19 March 2020
The special event featuring the characters from Disney and Pixar films will be held for 2 months with the limited-time entertainments, decoration, food menu and merchandise collection.

Date: 27 March to 12 June 2020
One of the most popular annual events, Disney Easter will be only held at Tokyo DisneySea this year, featuring special shows, colourful decorations, limited food menu and merchandise with adorable original character “Usapiyo”.

The special program will be held with cute and adorable Duffy and Friends with the sandy beach theme. Special decoration, food menu and merchandise collection will be available during the period.
