STAR WARS Cafe in Tokyo 2024

Star Wars Themed Cafe to Open in Tokyo Solamachi in 2024

It’s needless to say that Star Wars is one of the most popular and successful movie franchises of all time. It was created in 1977 by George Lucas, followed by a huge success of the first movie, it then has been adopted into various series and media such as TV series, video games, novels, comic books and theme park attractions, and has a massive fanbase across the world until today.

4th of May is a special day for Star Wars fan as it’s called Star Wars Day. It’s because of the famous line from the Star Wars movies, “May the Force be with you” and fans across the world celebrate the Star Wars culture and watch the movies every year on that day.

To celebrate Star Wars Day, the limited-time Star Wars Cafe (「STAR WARS」OH MY CAFE) will open in Tokyo, offering the special themed menu and cafe merchandise. The cafe will open from 20 April to 9 June 2024 in Tokyo Solamachi, a large shopping and entertainment complex located at the base of Tokyo Skytree.

The menu includes dishes and drinks that are inspired by the world of Star Wars movies as well as Mandalorian, another popular live-action series from the Star Wars franchise, which is set in a galaxy five years after the death of Darth Vader. The story follows a lone bounty hunter called Mandalorian who protect the Grogu, a child with hidden Force.

Rey’s Portion Bread was highly popular from the Star Wars Cafe back in 2020, which represents the dish that Rey ate in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. There will be also the Grogu Soup Plate with a choice of soups: bone broth or chowder, the Three Lightsaber Sandwich inspired by the fight scene of Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul, the R2-D2&C-3PO Fruit Yogurt, the Green Milk and the Darth Vader Black Water. All items on the menu are low-carb, low-salt, and healthy, that meet Disney’s nutritional guidelines.

In addition, there are some souvenir items that can be only purchased when ordering selected items as well as a wide range of cafe merchandise with the key image of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (Episode 1) that celebrates the 25th anniversary this year.

Enjoy the special moment with exclusive food, drinks and goods in the space filled with the worldview of Star Wars and Mandalorian, only in Tokyo this spring!
