Curious George is the main character of the picture book “Curious George” published in 1941 by the American writer couple, Margret and H. A. Rey.
Curious George has been translated into many different languages and loved across the world from children to adults. It was also adopted to TV anime series as well as animated and live-action movies.
It’s Curious George’s 80th anniversary and to celebrate such occasion, Curious George will have its own theme cafe opening in Tokyo for a limited time in 2022 spring.
The Curious George themed dining cafe “Curious George Kitchen” will open in Tokyo Solamachi, a shopping complex at Tokyo Skytree from 17 March to 5 June 2022. The cafe is inspired by the fun and curious worldview of Curious George with the concept of “Gift for The Man in the Yellow Hat”.
The cafe menu includes various cute and photo-worthy dishes, desserts and drinks such as omu curry hamburg steak, pancake stack, art au lait. Cannoli and fruits panna cotta are available for takeaway. Besides, a variety of cafe original merchandise will be also available. Some of kitchenware used in the cafe can be also purchased at the shop.
