Best Places to See Cherry Blossoms in Tokyo: Yoyogi Park
Yoyogi Park (代々木公園) is one of the largest national parks in Tokyo located near Shibuya, Harajuku and Shinjuku area. The spacious and accessible park is often described as the oasis of the city. The pack holds numbers of events through the year, and it’s one of the most popular spots for cherry blossoms in spring and autumn leaves viewing in autumn.
There are around 700 cherry trees at Yoyogi Park, and visitors enjoy cherry blossom viewing with picnic during the season. It’s one of the most popular place for Hanami (cherry blossom viewing party), and many people visit the park in early morning to make sure to reserved their picnic spot near/under the cherry trees!
As I mentioned earlier, Yoyogi Park is very accessible as it’s located near some of the most popular tourist spots in Tokyo such as Harajuku, Meiji Jingu Shrine, Shibuya and Shinjuku.
