Universal Studios Japan (USJ) is a super cool and well-known theme park in Osaka, Japan. It’s not just any theme park, it’s famous for bringing our favorite movies, anime series, and video games to life! To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the annual Universal Cool Japan will offer an exciting attraction in collaboration with one of the most famous Japanese anime series, Detective Conan World, a mystery show of the Targeted Masked Ball from the Masquerade series by Keigo Higashino, and other new LINEUP, such as the Apothecary Diaries and SPY x FAMILY XR Ride.

The Detective Conan World
Event Period: January 31 to June 30, 2025
The famous Japanese anime series Detective Conan is the main character for the Universal Cool Japan 2025 on its 10th anniversary. Come in and explore the world of the famous Detective Conan, take part in missions, and solve mystery cases. A unique event full of memorable experiences to enjoy with your family and friends.
You can also enjoy the original theme foods and restaurants with a twist of mystery solving, allowing you to enjoy your food and have fun at the same time. In addition, exclusive merchandise and limited edition items are also available. This is a great opportunity to experience and enjoy the world of Detective Conan.
The Targeted Masked Ball from the “Masquerade” series by Keigo Higashino
Event Period: January 24 to June 30, 2025
The Peril at the Masquerade is a mystery series show inspired by Keigo Higoshino and is the newest attraction of Universal Cool Japan 2025. A thrilling and exciting event to be enjoyed by the whole family, featuring entertainment and mystery-solving.
The Apothecary Diaries
Event Period: July 1, 2025, to January 4, 2026

The Apothecary Diaries is a TV anime series in Japan about the story of a young woman named Maomao, who is the daughter of an apothecary in the district where she inherits the knowledge and is capable of making poison and remedies. Her talent caught the attention of the official named Jinshi and made her a food taster in the palace, helping each other to solve mysteries and troubles.
The first-ever collaboration is being held in Universal Studios Japan as part of the Universal Cool Japan 2025, celebrating its 10th anniversary. Enjoy and have fun solving the mystery activities.
SPY x FAMILY XR Ride
Event Period: July 1, 2025, to January 4, 2026

A thrilling and exciting ride is brought by the famous Forger Family of SPY x FAMILY as part of the Universal Cool Japan 2025, celebrating its 10th anniversary. Various fun activities to enjoy with the Forger family, such as the virtual XR ride, that full of excitement and a unique experience. You can also enjoy the story ride, where you can learn more about the Forger family of SPY x FAMILY, and other challenging activities to be enjoyed by the whole family.
Along with the rides and activities, they also offer various souvenirs to collect and exclusive merchandise related to the characters.
