Toshio Suzuki and Ghibli Exhibition to be Held in Cities across Japan
Toshio Suzuki (鈴木敏夫) is a film producer of Studio Ghibli who has produced numbers of anime films together with Hayao Miyazaki.
An exhibition that you can learn the secret of Studio Ghibli, “Toshio Suzuki and Ghibli Exhibition (鈴木敏夫とジブリ展)” was held at Kanda Myojin Shrine in Tokyo in back 2019. After three years, the exhibition returns to Tokyo with bigger number of exhibits and upgraded contents. The exhibition introduces various activities of the producer such as books, footsteps as a film producer as well as must-see exhibits for Ghibli fans.
In addition to the previous one, the exhibition features two new exhibits this time. One of them is a huge bookshelf of 8,800 books. As Toshio Suzuki has been influenced by various films, books, manga and musix since childhood, this time, they will focus on books and manga that inspired him, and explore how those books led to his thinking technique. Through 8,800 books, you may learn the secret of the creation of works at Studio Ghibli.
Another new exhibit reproduces the world view of Spirited Away. A large space with a motif of The Bathhouse (Aburaya) from Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away appears only at the Tokyo venue. You may see Otori Sama (giant chickens) relaxing in the bath.

The Toshio Suzuki and Ghibli Exhibition will be held at Warehouse Terrada, Tokyo from 1 July to 7 September 2022, then will be touring several cities across Japan including Iwate, Fukuoka, Ehime, Kanagawa, etc. Check the official website for the further location of the exhibition.
