One of the longest-running, most beloved winter illumination events in Tokyo, Marunouchi Illumination will be back in 2024-2025 winter!

Marunouchi Illumination ( 丸の内イルミネーション) is celebrating its 23rd year this winter with approx 1.2 million LED lights of the classic champagne gold colour. The illumination decorate over 280 trees which stretch along the 1.2 km long shopping street of Marunouchi. The event will start in mid November and continue till mid February next year.

In addition, illuminations will be expanded to Gyoko-Dori avenue from 28 November to 25 December, stretching from the Imperial Palace Gardens and Tokyo Station. Enjoy the night view unique to Marunouchi and soak in warm light only this time of the year!

Along with the Marunouchi Illumination, there will be several special events around the Marunouchi area during winter. Marunouchi Street Park 2024 Winter will be held around Marunouchi Naka-Dori avenue until 25 December, featuring a Christmas market selling hot food and drinks. A Christmas event in a collaboration with Nintendo’s Super Mario, Marunouchi Bright Holiday will also take place in several locations in the Marunouchi area, featuring original decorations and light up with popular characters from the Super Mario series.
