If you’re thinking of visiting Japan, one of the places where you should definitely visit is Harajuku. Harajuku is a popular district that has been forming its own trendy culture and known as the center of Japanese pop culture.
Kawaii Monster Cafe is one of the iconic places in Harajuku area where you can have the most unique and super Kawaii dining experience. The entire cafe was designed by a famous creator/designer Masuda Sebastian who is known as a pioneer of the Harajuku pop culture. He has produced 6%DOKIDOKI, one of the most famous fashion brands in Harajuku, and he has also produced the famous pop idol, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.
This unique cafe/restaurant was opened in 2015 summer in the heart of Harajuku area, and has rapidly become one of the most popular places to visit among Japanese and foreign visitors.
As soon as you enter the cafe, you can feel like being in a totally different world. The large cake shaped merry-go-round greets guests at the entrance, then 4 divided areas can be enjoyed: the MUSHROOM DISCO, the vivid mushroom themed room, the MILK STAND, decorated with unicorn, sheeps, rabbits and baby bottles, the BAR Experiment surrounded with jellyfish monuments glowing in dark, the Mel-Tea ROOM decorated with pastel coloured dessert objects.
The cafe menu was created with the concept of “Delicious, Fun and Photo-Worthy”, and various unique and colourful dishes, desserts and drinks are served at the cafe such as Colorful Rainbow Pasta (Painter) and Colorful Poison Parfait (Extreme). The food and drinks at Kawaii Monster Cafe are extremely eccentric like you won’t find anywhere else!
Besides regular shop assistance, there are Monster Girls at Kawaii Monster Cafe, who are the visual icons and spread the concept of KAWAII MONSTER CAFE’s information to the world. Sweet “BABY”, selfish “DOLLY”, happy “CANDY” sexy “NASTY” and moody “CRAZY” will be leading you the way into the cafe.
