Ueno Park Cherry Blossoms

Ueno Park or Ueno Onshi Park (上野恩賜公園) is one of the best places to see cherry blossoms in Tokyo. The vast park is rich in nature, and has around 1,000 cherry trees along the park’s main promenade.

Ueno Park is the most crowded and vibrant cherry blossom viewing spot in town as many people come for Hanami (cherry blossom viewing party) with food and drinks at day and night. Also the cherry blossom festival “Ueno Sakura Matsuri” is held during the season featuring many vendors. The illumination of cherry blossoms are also available at night.

Ueno Park is one of the largest parks in Tokyo, and it’s one of top tourist destinations. The vast park consists of numbers of interesting facilities such as Ueno Zoo, temple, shrine and museums. You can easily spend a whole day at the park. Additionally, there is a cool and unique designed Starbucks store in the park where you can take a break and enjoy a cup of coffee while enjoying beautiful cherry blossoms.
