What is Tokyu Denentoshi Line?
The Tokyu Denentoshi Line (東急田園都市線) is Tokyu’s most crowded commuter line that connects Chūō-rinkan Station in Yamato City, and Shibuya Station in Tokyo with 27 stations. This line has an underground section that starts in Shibuya station and ends in Futako-Tamagawa. Then, in the above-ground section, it continues on towards Chūō-rinkan. The Denentoshi Line provides two services; express and semi-express. The express service skips most stations in the underground the Shin-Tamagawa Line portion while the semi-express stops at these stations.
The good thing about living near this line is that it passes through many cities of Tokyo and Yokohama, making it an important commuter line for people that work in Tokyo. Shibuya station is known as one of the most crowded and busiest stations, being the gateway to Tokyo’s many shopping areas such as Shinjuku and Harajuku. From Shibuya station, you can transfer to Tokyu Toyoko Line, Tokyo Metro Ginza, Hanzomon, Fukutoshin Lines, JR Yamanote, Shonan-Shinjuku, and Saikyo Lines.
And Futako-Tamagawa Station is one of the major stations as well known as the original terminal for the Denentoshi and Shin-Tamagawa Lines. The Futako-Tamagawa Station is located in the Tamagawa river. From this station you can transfer to the Tokyu Ōimachi Line.
There are many interesting locations along the Tokyu Denentoshi Line. Some attractions or sights can connect you using this Line. Here are some of those:
- Komazawa Olympic Park
- Minami-Machida Grandberry Park
- Setagaya Art Museum
- Gyozenji Temple

Greetings to all mommies I am a supermom from Philippines. Previously, I worked and lived in Dubai for seven years, until 2015 the year I moved in Japan. Currently, I am happily settled here with my Japanese husband and our 7 months old baby. I could only describe my almost 6 years of living here as a roller coaster ride more so, after I gave birth to my son. Japan had changed me in ways unimaginable. It has influence my lifestyle, my perceptions and beliefs. I was able to witness firsthand the pros and cons of living in the country. From their language, culture and ethnicity, the people, place and in work. Those years were enough to give me quite personal and memorable experiences which I would be more than delighted to share with you.
