Yoyogi Park (代々木公園) is a popular park located in central Tokyo, which is accessible from several touristy areas in the city such as Shibuya, Harajuku and Shinjuku.
Yoyogi Park is a popular spot for cherry blossoms and autumn leaves viewing, but other than that, the park draws a large number of visitors as the venue for special event.
Numbers of events and festivals are held at Yoyogi Park through the year, almost every weekends during spring and summer. Those events feature special themes, music, performances, markets and food with festive atmospheres, and usually they are free entrance.
If you are travelling in Tokyo and looking for fun and exciting events, Yoyogi Park might be the best spot to hand out!
In this article, I’d like to share with you guys the schedule of upcoming events at Yoyogi Park for 2020 spring and summer (from March to August)!

3–4 May: Cambodia Festival 2020
The biggest Cambodia event featuring delicious Cambodian food markets, music and shows.

9–10 May: Thai Festival 2020
One of the most popular annual events at Yoyogi Park, celebrating Thai culture.
16–17 May: Vietnam Festival 2020
Japan’s biggest Vietnamese event held in Yoyogi Park annually, featuring delicious food and live performance of traditional music.
22–24 May: TOKYO JAZZ + plus the PLAZA
23–24 May: OKINAWA Matsuri 2020
A 2-day Okinawa themed festival with the authentic Okinawan cultural performances and food.
30–31 May: Laos Festival 2020
The biggest Laos festival in Japan, featuring Laotian food, music and markets.
