Ginza is arguably the most expensive district in Tokyo. There are lots of lavish shops and boutiques on the shopping street, and a number of high-end & Michelin-starred restaurants gather in this area. Well, don’t worry, Restaurants in Ginza are not only for rich people. When it comes to dining out, it is very possible to eat in Ginza cheaply. Despite the fact that the majority of stores in Ginza can be more pricey than in other areas, I can tell you that there are some great restaurants where you can eat around 500 JPY ($5)!!! Eat cheap Ginza food but still walk like a queen on Tokyo’s poshest street 🙂

Where to Eat in Ginza Cheap

1. Japone (ジャポネ)

Neopolitan 600 yen

Japone is a spaghetti restaurant located near Yurakucho station. Most of their spaghetti dishes are served around 600 yen. Japon is especially popular because of its generous portion, too. If you wanna make your dish even bigger, take Oomori (+150 yen) or Yokozuna (+250 yen) option!

2. Fukutei (ふくてい)

Curry 500 yen

Fukutei is a small curry restaurant located in Yurakucho’s under the rail tracks. Their simple curry is served at 700 yen only and toppings can be added at an additional charge. Tonkatsu curry (850 yen) & Sirloin steak curry (840 yen) are the most popular dishes

3. Chaojan (巧匠)

Daily lunch meal 650 yen

Authentic Taiwanese restaurant in the Ginza area. Serving a variety of Taiwanese dishes including dim-sum and noodles at reasonable prices. Their amazing lunch deal is a daily lunch meal (3–4 kinds) served at only 650 JPY with generous portions.

4. Warajiya (わらじ家)

Daily lunch meal 750 yen

Warajiya is a small and cozy restaurant located in the basement of the Ginza 9–2 building near Shinbashi Station. Warajiya serves a simple and authentic Japanese set meal “Teishoku” with fish, miso soup, rice, and small condiments. The set meals come with a choice of fish (mackerel, salmon, etc) and are available from 750 yen.

5. Ramen Takahashi

Ramen from 820 yen

The restaurant is renowned for its unique grilled flying fish (ago) salt-based ramen, offering a rich and smoky flavor that sets it apart from typical ramen broths. This distinctive taste has made it a popular dining spot in the Ginza district.

The menu features a variety of ramen options, with prices ranging from approximately ¥820 to ¥2,000. The most affordable dish is the “Shio Ramen” (salt-flavored ramen), priced at around ¥820. This bowl offers a delightful experience of their signature grilled flying fish broth without additional toppings, providing a satisfying and budget-friendly option for ramen enthusiasts.
