Universal Studios Japan (USJ) is one of the world’s greatest amusement parks, which is located in Osaka City, Japan. Universal Studios Japan offers a number of fun and exciting attractions with popular movie and character themes such as Spider-Man, Harry Potter, Minions (Despicable Me), Jurassic Park, Sesame Street and so on. The park also hosts seasonal events through the year such as Halloween and Christmas and one of the most popular events is the countdown event held from the night of New Year’s Eve to the New Year’s Day.

In 2019–2020, the countdown event at USJ, Universal Countdown Party will be back with the biggest celebration ever with colourful fireworks and special countdown performances! Moreover, the party will be the sum up of the seasonal events at the park featuring multiple past shows and themes in 2019 such as the World Street Festival, the Extra Cool Summer, the Halloween Horror Night and the Universal Crystal Christmas. This means you can look back the entire year of Universal Studios Japan only in one night! What a better way to finish off the year and welcome a brand new year!
The countdown event at Universal Studios Japan will kick off at 7 pm on the New Year’s Eve and will end at 2 am on the New Year’s Day., then the park will be open until 9 pm onwards, which means the facilities and attractions will be available for 26 hours and can be enjoyed with the same entrance ticket! Only limited number of tickets will be available for this event, and they got sold out pretty quickly last year, so if you wanna have a very special moment for countdown in Japan, make sure to book the tickets in advance!
