Get ready to be enchanted as Tokyo Skytree Town announces its annual “Dream Christmas” event, running from November 1st to December 25th, 2025. This year, the festivities promise to be more magical than ever, with renewed Christmas lightings, a charming Christmas market, and captivating projection mapping displays.
The highlight of the event is the Christmas special lighting of the Tokyo Skytree itself, which has been redesigned for the first time since its opening. The iconic tower will be transformed into the world’s tallest Christmas tree, with three alternating designs: “Ornament Tree,” “Elegant Tree,” and “Santa Claus”. This dazzling display will illuminate the winter sky, creating a truly unforgettable experience.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Sky Arena on the 4th floor will feature a projection mapping show with the theme “A magical clock that spins memories”. Every 15 minutes, the clock will undergo a fantastical transformation, culminating in a brilliant and special animation. The entire town will be adorned with approximately 530,000 sparkling lights, creating a warm and inviting glow.
A visit to the “Christmas Market in a Picture Book” is a must for visitors of all ages. This year, the market will feature luxurious huts with decorations imported from Germany, creating a whimsical, storybook atmosphere. A giant Stollen, one of the largest in Japan, will be a centerpiece of the market, offering a delicious taste of traditional German Christmas.
Inside the Tokyo Skytree, the observation decks will be decorated with the theme “Christmas Party in the Sky”. Visitors can enjoy Christmas-themed decorations, photo spots, and even meet Sorakara-chan, the official character of Tokyo Skytree, in her new Christmas costume.
