Starting March 27, 2024, Starbucks Japan will launch Oleato™, a novel coffee beverage crafted by combining Starbucks coffee with premium extra virgin olive oil sourced from Italy’s Palatina. Available at over 500 Starbucks stores nationwide, Oleato™ promises a unique experience.
Oleato™, initially launched by Starbucks in Milan, Italy, the city where espresso met Starbucks, on February 22, 2023. It started selling in Japan from April last year, becoming the third country, following the United States, to welcome this innovative offering. Initially available only at exclusive sites like Starbucks Reserve(R) Roastery Tokyo and approximately 60 other stores nationwide. However, aiming to brighten everyone’s daily life through a new coffee experience, Starbucks will expand its sales to over 500 stores nationwide starting March 27, 2024.
Oleato is a beverage that suggests a new coffee habit by combining Starbucks coffee and olive oil, both gifts of nature. With Oleato™, Starbucks invites customers to savor a “cup of coffee every day,” characterized by a velvety smooth texture, rich flavor, and delicate aroma, courtesy of carefully selected olive oil.
Two types of Oleato™ will be available, Oleato™ Golden Foam™ Cold Brew and Oleato™ Oat Milk Latte.
Oleato™Golden Foam™ Cold Brew
The biggest feature of Oleato™ Golden Foam™ Cold Brew is the velvety smooth golden foam made with olive oil and mousse. This unique blend offers a rich aroma of olive oil, paired with a velvety-smooth foam that enhances the cold brew coffee’s flavor, inviting you to a new coffee experience. Perfect for your morning routine, this beverage promises a satisfying and indulgent coffee experience that will leave you craving more.
Oleato™ Oat Milk Latte
The Oleato™ Oat Milk Latte presents a harmonious blend of olive fragrance, oat flavor, and espresso, creating a delightful new sensation in oat milk lattes. Infused with the rich flavor of olive oil, this unique beverage offers a refreshing twist on traditional latte experiences. Served hot, the Oleato™ Oat Milk Latte boasts a characteristic velvety foam produced by steaming milk with olive oil and oat milk, providing the perfect indulgence for moments when you want to relax both mind and body.
