Meet over 2,000 Pikachu at the Pikachu Outbreak in Yokohama in 2019 Summer!

Pikachu Outbreak 2019 will be held in Yokohama in August!


Pikachu Outbreak (ピカチュウ大量発生チュウ!) is an annual Pokémon event held in Minato Mirai district, Yokohama which first began in 2014.

In 2019 summer, Pikachu Outbreak is back in Yokohama featuring the largest number of Pikachu ever. The event takes 7 days in mid August (6 to 12 August), and over 2,000 Pikachu mascots will be popping up at several location in the district including Minato Mirai Tokyu Square, Grand Mall Park, Yokohama Museum of Art, Queen’s Square, Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. There will be numbers of instagram-worthy Pokemon photo spots in town during the event.

This year, the event will be held at night (19:00–21:00) and adorable Pikachu will be collaborating with the beautiful night scenery of Yokohama and the latest LED technology, water, and more! The best highlight of the event is the Pikachu Super-Outbreak with a total of 50 Pikachu marching down at Rinko Park.
