As Meguro River is a very popular spot for cherry blossom viewing in spring, they decided to offer us the same splendid scenery during winter, too.

“Megurogawa Minna no Illuminantion” is a popular winter illumination event held along the Meguro River in Tokyo. The famous cherry trees are decorated by over 400,000 pink LED light and look just like cherry blossoms blooming. The view stretches for about 2.2 km between Gotanda and Osaki Stations.

The LED lights used for Megurogawa Minna no Illumination is 100% environment friendly that are recycled from waste edible oil from local residents and restaurants. The event kicks off on 9th November 2018 and lasts till 6th January 2019. There are numbers of winter illumination events in Tokyo, but this is only place offering cute winter cherry blossoms! Have a romantic walk by the river and enjoy the cherry blossom viewing!
