In 2023 winter, Keio Plaza Hotel (京王プラザホテル) in Shinjuku offers a cute and unique dessert buffet in a collaboration with two popular Sanrio characters; Pompompurin and Cinnamoroll. The Sweets Collection with Pompompurin and Cinnamoroll is held with the theme of the Detective of the Sweets World, offering colourful and unique desserts and savories with motifs of the two adorable characters such as coffee jelly with Cinnamoroll tail and biscuit sandwich in a shape of Pompompurin’s hat. In addition, each table has a mysterious challenge letter from the characters, which guests can enjoy solving the mystery like a detective while enjoying desserts.

Sunshine City Prince Hotel (サンシャインシティプリンスホテル) in Ikebukuro is teaming up with the adorable bear character Paddington for their Christmas dessert buffet. The Paddington Christmas Sweets Buffet offers a variety of desserts inspired by the world of Paddington including items using his iconic red hat motif and his favourite marmalade. Moreover, the hotel offers a special collaboration with Paddington, not only for the dessert buffets but also for stay plan as a special concept rooms of Paddington are available for a limited time. Hilton Tokyo (ヒルトン東京) has always been a top venues for seasonal dessert buffets in Tokyo as they offer a wide variety of high-quality desserts in each season. This winter, the hotel is hosting the gorgeous and lavish King & Queen Christmas Dessert Buffet, inspired by royalty’s tiara, jewellery, gifts and Christmas decorations. There are 20 kinds of luxurious and sophisticated Christmas desserts inspired by the king & queen theme. Besides, the buffet has 10 kinds of Christmas savory items including roast chicken, poached fish and oven baked pork. With a contrast of red and white, the dessert buffet represents an exciting Christmas season, surrounded by Christmas decorations such as gift boxes with red ribbon and white Christmas trees. The buffet consists of 15 desserts and 5 savory items including creative items with Christmas motif and traditional Christmas sweets. The adorable hotel’s mascot, Conrad Bear is also transformed into a Christmas colour.

Grand Hyatt Tokyo (グランド ハイアット 東京) , the luxurious hotel in Roppongi, offers a creative and high-quality dessert buffet in each season, created by skilled pastry chefs. In December 2023, the hotel is hosting the “Noel Rouge Afternoon Tea Buffet”, featuring gorgeous array of desserts and savories inspired by “Rouge” which is the colour of “Grand Love”, Grand Hyatt Tokyo’s holiday theme of this year. The buffet includes from the classics to creative rouge (red) coloured items such as raspberry cake, strawberry shortcake, rose scented jelly and hotdog with red buns.

Keio Plaza Hotel Hachioji (京王プラザホテル八王子) is another hotel to team up with Sanrio characters as they will have Hello Kitty and Little Twin Stars (Kiki and Lala) theme all-you-can-eat buffet for lunch and dinner this winter. The “Hello Kitty, Kiki and Lala’s Kirakira Yume Kawa Buffet Party” offers a variety of cute and creative desserts and savories inspired by the Yume Kawaii (an aesthetic of being fantasy theme and pastel colours) world of Hello Kitty and Little Twin Stars. The buffet is available for lunch and dinner, and there will be three special tables available with advance reservation and extra charge, which guests can enjoy sitting with a large Hello Kitty plush toy and a welcome drink inspired by the characters.
